Our Story

I am Marianne O’Donnell and  from the Gortahork Gaeltacht. Is mise Marianne Ní Dhómnaill as Gort a’Choirce. I’ve set up Kombucha Na Dálaigh because I want to provide fresh natural premium Kombucha for my community. I’ve always been passionate about  food and healthy eating. I’m a certified Nutrition Coach and I’ve taught Food and Nutrition for 20+ years.  A friend recommended drinking Kombucha because of some gut issues I was experiencing. She gave me a SCOBY ( Symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) which got me started on my Kombucha journey. I was immediately intrigued and felt the health benefits within a week. I started making it for my family and friends but it soon grew into a business supplying lots of local coffee shops and artisan food shops. I realised that there was a gap in the market for artisan kombucha and our business grew organically from here.

This is real handcrafted kombucha, probiotic goodness in each sustainably brewed bottle. No added carbonation or artificial flavourings- just pure natural goodness.

Everything we do is inspired by health and nature, and we try to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. We are 95 percent plastic free and encourage bottle return. Our label is made from sustainably sourced recycled paper and we get our produce from Joe the local fruit and veg man. John is my partner in Booch and he keeps all the cogs running in unison and keeps us all calm and happy x
